TRAS EL DÍA DE ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS... EL POPULAR "BLACK FRIDAY"
El Día de Acción de Gracias (en inglés Thanksgiving Day) es una celebración tradicional de Estados Unidos festejada el cuarto jueves del mes de noviembre. Generalmente en esta festividad
se reúnen en torno a una mesa familiares y amigos a compartir un
banquete celebrando el día.
En Estados Unidos, la tradición moderna del día de Acción de Gracias
tiene sus orígenes en el año 1621, en una celebración en Plymouth, en el
actual estado de Massachusetts. La fiesta en 1621 se celebró en agradecimiento por una buena cosecha.
La mayoría de personas en Estados Unidos celebran esta fiesta con
reuniones familiares en sus hogares donde preparan un banquete,en muchas
casas es común ofrecer una oración de gracias. El plato principal tradicional para la cena es un gran pavo asado u horneado, este pavo tradicionalmente va acompañado con un relleno hecho de pan de maiz y salvia. Se sirve tradicionalmente con una jalea o salsa de arándanos rojos, además suelen servirse platos de verduras como las judias verdes, boniato, y puré con gravy , que es una salsa hecha del jugo del pavo; también suele servirse una gran variedad de postres, siendo el pastel de calabaza, el más popular. Las comidas se sirven con sidra de manzana caliente con especias (spiced hot apple cider) o espumoso de sidra de manzana, tradicionalmente fermentado (sparkling apple cider o hard cider). También es común preparar el pastel de nuez y el de manzana.
La mayoría de negocios y oficinas están cerrados en este día. Algunos
almacenes, centros comerciales, restaurantes y bares permanecen
abiertos. El viernes siguiente a la fiesta es tradicional la apertura de
la temporada de compras navideñas. Este día se conoce como "Black Friday" (viernes negro).
Almacenes y tiendas todos ofrecen precios de rebaja y mucha gente acude
desde las primeras horas del día a los centros comerciales.

Everyday Language to use to buy a ticket
Esta mañana el alumnado de 5ºA ha dramatizado situaciones cotidianas para comprar un billete de tren, avión o autobús. Se han divertido mucho representando roles de turistas y oficinistas simulando que están en una estación de Londres. Os dejamos varios videos.

"EVERYDAY LANGUAGE" Y REPASO DE NÚMEROS EN TERCERO
Hoy en tercero hemos practicado minidiálogos caracterizados con divertidas pelucas porque les encanta disfrazarse. Además esta semana repasamos al comenzar la clase la canción de los números del 1 al 50.
